Mead Botanical Garden is a 47-acre natural garden in Winter Park with hiking trails, a creek, a boardwalk, tall pines, a greenhouse, a butterfly garden and a pond that attracts turtles, fish and wading birds. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk, and admission is free to the public. Dogs are welcome on a leash. The city also lists the garden on the Great Florida Birding Trail.
