Terminals and moving between them

Orlando International Airport (MCO) has Terminals A and B in one building, a separate Terminal C, and a train station. Terminals A and B sit on opposite sides of the same building, so crossing between them is a short walk on the departures level rather than a ride.

From Terminals A and B, the Terminal Link (an automated people mover) runs to the train station, and Terminal C is then a walk of roughly 1,200 feet through a parking garage. A shuttle bus also links the terminals. The airport lists both as running around the clock; boarding points are easier to follow on its terminal maps than in a summary.

Check your airline's terminal before you travel; the airport publishes which airlines use which terminal.

Arriving and departing

The airport authority recommends reaching the security checkpoint two hours before departure, and asks travelers to check their airline for flight-specific advice. The airport itself is open around the clock, but each airline sets its own check-in hours.

Children under 18 are not required to show photo ID at the security checkpoint, but airlines set their own rules, so confirm with your airline. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the airport.

Getting from the airport into the area

Several options leave from the ground transportation areas. Ride-share pick-ups are at the arrivals curbs (Level 2 at Terminals A and B, Level 6 at Terminal C). Taxis are metered under a City of Orlando ordinance, and flat-rate fares are not authorized, so the final fare can differ from any estimate you were quoted.

Shuttle vans charge per person; ask the attendant about round-trip and children's fares. Some local hotels provide complimentary airport transportation from the ground transportation level, so ask your hotel whether it does.

LYNX local buses stop on the A-side of the terminal, ground transportation level. The airport also has a station for high-speed intercity rail. SunRail trains do not stop at the airport itself; SunRail describes a bus link to the airport from its Sand Lake Road station.

Dropping off and picking up

Private vehicles may drop passengers at the departures curb, but cars may not wait there and must never be left unattended. Departures curbs are on Level 3 at Terminals A and B and on Level 2 at Terminal C.

For pick-ups, the airport directs drivers to its free cell phone lots and suggests allowing at least 20 minutes after landing, or 40 minutes if the passenger checked a bag. Check your passenger's airline to learn which terminal to use.

Families and travelers with access needs

The airport lists family or companion restrooms on each level and nursing rooms throughout the terminal buildings. A sensory room in Terminal A, before security, is open to travelers with sensory sensitivities and their families; children must be with an adult there.

Dogs are not allowed in the airport unless they are working dogs or in an airline-approved carrier, and the airport marks service animal relief areas. If you need a wheelchair, contact your airline in advance. See our accessible travel guide for more.
